Network Engineer - Professional Services Co - Perm - £40k-£45k pa + Ex Bens – London


PTS' Client an established Professional Services Company in London are for looking for a Network Engineer to come on board to help manage their network of around 35 offices throughout EMEA of which they have around 50-100 staff in each.  In 2013 they will embarking on a change of switches which due to take around 12-18 months to complete, so some minimal design experience would be essential but please bear in mind this is not an Architect position.

This role is ideal for a 2nd / 3rd Line Support Engineer who has a few years’ experience of network infrastructure support behind them in a Professional Services environment.  A CCNA qualification is hugely preferential, aswell as knowledge of working within an ITIL environment again will add strength to the skills that this role requires.  Good knowledge of core network topologies including of VoIP technologies along with an solid understanding of some of the below technologies listed:

·         Cisco Routers, Cisco IOS, Cisco Wireless Access Points
·         Cisco ASA or PIX firewalls
·         Switching technology (in particular Extreme/Cisco)
·         SNMP and NetFlow
·         BlueCoat web filtering appliances
·         F5 BIG IP load balancers
·         Proxy server: Microsoft ISA 2006

Windows 7 Migration PMO - Investment Bank - London - Contract - Market Rates


PTS’s Client, a leading Investment Bank are in need of an experienced PMO Coordinator with strong Windows 7 Migration knowledge.  The ideal candidate must be adaptable and accommodating to adhoc requests with the need to be able to coordinate multiple processes.

The Coordinator's role is to work with equivalents in other regions as well as deployment technicians, the deployment lead and the end user for any pre and post migration queries.  The Coordinator will work with deployment tools to determine who is Windows 7 ready and schedule accordingly.

Project Manager – Outsourcing Company – Home – Perm – upto £40k + Bens


PTS's Client, a Leading Outsourcing Company are looking for a Project Manager with Housing experience, and knowledge of ensuring project delivery of software implementations to enable them to complete efficiently, on quality, time and to budget.  You need to have the ability to liaise with all relevant parties to ensure any customer issues are dealt with satisfactorily both pre and post implementation.  

You must have relevant skills to manage and maintain appropriate project documentation and handover completed implementation paperwork to appropriate support departments post implementation.   The responsibilities are below:

·         Meeting with customers to discuss status of implementations, managing of resources and budget.
·         Reporting to project delivery manager as appropriate.
·         Dealing with customer throughout project life-cycle.
·         Managing the demands of the project through liaisons with internal departments.
·         Production where required of updated project plan.
·         Continuous assessment of implementation status.
·         Introduce contingency planning when implementation is not running to schedule.
·          Keep customer informed of status of project at all time.
·         Coordinate all resource requirements to ensure implementation is completed on budget and on time

Experience of project management preferably within a LG environment is required, extensive knowledge of the project lifecycle, excellent communication skills and being able to convey complex and difficult issues verbally and in writing.  ITIL and PRINCE2 Practitioner skills are desirable aswell as a Full Clean Driving License.  Please bear in mind that Housing experience is essential for this role.

Desktop Support Manager – Education – Manchester – Perm – upto £40k + Pension


PTS's Client, a large Education Campus in Manchester are looking for an experienced Desktop Support Manager to come on board to assist in the Desktop Service that they provide to its students, staff and alumni members.  You will be responsible to the IT Services Desktop Operations Manager and for the support and day to day management of the IT Technical Support Officers, Windows Officers, ITS Technician Team and delivery of the Desktop services to the business.  The hardware supported across the Desktop estate currently consists of Mobiles, PC’s, MAC’s and Laptops.

You must have experience of managing across multiple sites, aswell as managing a team of around 10-15+ IT Technicians in a Desktop function ideally helping to improve Service Delivery.  You must be a technical person or have been technical in previous roles and also have a progressive management mindset.  Our client has in excess of 6000 units so experience of supporting units of around 3000+ units is essential for this opportunity.

You should have a good understanding of Microsoft Operating Systems such as Windows XP and Windows 7, MAC O/S up to and including Lion, Desktop virtualisation and image/software deployment.  Aswell as specific skills, knowledge and experience related to the specific service/s managed, this position requires a broad understanding of IT Services capabilities, technologies and their potential to address the business requirements of the constituents.

PTS' client are a Global Leading Cloud Services Company who have a new role suited for an advanced team manager that is interested in managing a small team of system engineers.  You will help them to to execute a full and varied technical program including the provision, management and monitoring of our Public and Private Cloud offerings, from the Data centre hardware and networking stack through to the customer provisioning layer, as well as designing and implementing incremental developments to the service in this is fast moving area of IT.

Key Responsibilities:

My client is looking for a software application packager to assist desktop transformation projects. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter capable of servicing requests from both our customers and internal sources in order to create automated software installation packages for use within managed IT environments.
Application packaging experience including MSI, AdminStudio and Application Virtualisation (App-V) is advantageous but not a necessity as training will be provided.
Duties
·         Package and sequence applications for unattended installation and streaming
·         Provide technical documentation on a range of technical issues as required.
·         Produce procedural documentation of application packaging processes for the benefit of knowledge sharing and improved efficiency.
