Online Community Development Manager - CONTRACT (12 MONTHS FTC)


My client, based in Hertfordshire, is urgently seeking an experienced Online Community Development professional for 12 months to manage and contribute to the continuous development of technical communities for their organisation.  The role will be a Fixed Term Contract based on an annual salary package and not a day rate.

The remit of this position will include the engagement, retention and professional development of community members as well as the development of suitable products and services to meet their needs.

The main responsibilities of the post holder will be:

1.  To manage a number of technical/professional networks (three approximately) including the related committee/volunteer structure;
2.  To oversee the online communities and monitor web based activity including discussion forums to identify future opportunities for hot topics;
3.  To take a proactive role within each network, driving development and actively engaging with community members both on and offline;
4.  To identify possible strategic partnerships with other organisations, as well as developing and maintaining them;
5.  To act as the liaison point between the communities and the event production team to suggest ideas for events/speakers;
6.  Take the lead in arranging cross department meetings and actively work with other areas of the business including publication editors, policy, business partners etc;
7.  To manage activities for the networks such as technical visits, awards, interviews etc;
8.  To be responsible for the content on the technical and professional networks web pages, and ensure a good flow of new material so that all online/printed material is produced and published in a timely fashion;
9.  To continuously review and develop the offerings for each network to meet the needs of the community, including monitoring competitor activity;
10.  To work with other departments in the development of online and complementary products;
11.  To work with other departments to identify and develop opportunities for future activities;
12.  To act as business developer to produce and implement the business plans for each community and oversee their subsequent financial management;

The successful applicant will become part of the internal project team to develop new websites and services for the organisation, being allocated responsibilities within specific developments.  Working in a small group, the postholder will be required to code and test new and enhanced Web / Internet services.  They will also support internal and external teams to deliver information and services to their users, as well as investigating and resolving any technical issues.

Cisco Unified Communications Consultant - S/SE England - Urgent - CONTRACT to PERM -


PTS' Client, a rapidly expanding Cisco Consultancy urgently seeks a Cisco Unified Communications Consultant for a Contract to Permanent role. It will start as a contract position and should everyone be happy, convert in to a permanent role after 2-3 months.  The focus is on Cisco IP Contact Centre Enterprise (v5), which you will be very well versed in, being able to advise and demonstrate your knowledge of the system to customers and colleagues, either face to face or remotely. Interestingly, a considerable amount of the work can be achieved remotely so you're likely to be at home 2-4 days a week, with the other days on client site. Most of their clients are around London/SE and the M3/M4 Corridors.

You'll be required to:
1.  Fully document the architecture and configuration of a currently installed system and provide recommendations for aligning to best practice;
2.  Make the system more resilient and provide recommendations around it's setup.
3.  Provide training in the following disciplines:
4.  ICM Scripting - documenting existing scripts, create new scripts, manage custom recordings; Cisco Web view reports - interpreting reports, creating new reports based on customer requirements; System administration - collating system metrics as to performance and capacity, SNMP monitoring of key services; Call Recording - look at current configuration and suggest improvements (Magnetic North); Knowledge of outbound dialer solutions would also be advantageous.

You'll ideally also have excellent Cisco IPT Skills with Cisco Call Manager (v3 - 8), Cisco Unity (v3 - 7), with Voice Gateway configuration. In addition, you may also be called upon to work with IPFX for Call Manager and IPFX Director, as well as configuration, troubleshooting and the raising and resolution of existing service tickets.

Finance Project Manager / Cash Management - CONTRACT - £500 to £550 per day

This is a great opportunity to work for a large investment bank in London and Paris.

We are looking for a technical Project Manager who is willing to travel between London and Paris. The ideal candidate should have 10 years of PM experience with commercial banks.


The Project involves:
1.  Implement a new module of local cash management system (called EBICS by Clear 2 Pay which was implemented this September ) for new way of authentication;
2.  Migrate customer from old X25 based cash management system to EBICS;

3.  Build automated reconciliation application to reconcile payments request received to EBICS and payments to be sent to the banking system to process payments so there is nothing missed;
4.  Migrate other X25 connections with external payment systems such as their system in France, to a new TCP/IP connection through encrypted VPN tunnel.

There will be a Technical PM in Paris, but London also now require a PM to plan, manage and coordinate detailed tasks with the technical teams.

PTS Consulting requires an Experienced Technical Project Manager with recent Commercial Banking experience for a long-term contract based in London with occassional trips to Paris for their global client. Our client has won vast cutting-edge new business deals and we've successfully placed a number of highly skilled and experienced iPad/iPhone/Android/PHP/Ruby Developers with them.

This is a very exciting time for our client, who now require a tenacious individual to ensure all development work is completed on time and to the highest standards. PTS Consulting has been tasked with resourcing a highly experienced Senior BI Developer for one of the Worlds' Leading Investment Banks. This is a full life-cycle development project where you'll be responsible for designing and developing their Data Mart, Cubes (SSAS), MIS Database (SQL Server 2008), ETL processes (SSIS) and Dashboards (SSRS). iOS Developer (iPhone & iPad) - CONTRACT

My client, a leading organisation within the Mobile applications Development space, is urgently seeking a highly motivated individual to take on an existing iPhone Xcode project and continue its development and evolution.

The project is a book-related platform which can be customised, and my client will require the successful applicant to get up to speed with the existing Xcode project very quickly, and then be able to perform future customisations for up-coming client releases.

In addition they will require a number of modifications to the existing project, including extending it to the iPad. This engagement will last until the end of Q1 2011, during which time there could be 10-12 public releases for which the postholder will be responsible for the iOS aspects.

My client, based in London, is presently seeking an experienced senior professional to assume to role of Director of Innovation, Investment and Growth.

The successful applicant for this position within one of the most prestigious organisations in the UK, will be managing a team of five as well as a significant research budget. The Director will lead the organisation's research work in two areas crucial to the future of the UK economy:
1.  How the UK's financial system needs to change to support innovation and growth, in particular the role of early stage finance and venture capital;
