Fx Market Access Developer - Investment Bank - London – Contract – £410-£450pd

PTS’s Client, a leading Investment Bank are in URGENT need of an experienced Fx Market Access Developer.  The FX eTrading group is a global team providing services directly to the global FX business within the largest bank in the Euro zone by deposits.  The team is concerned with the development, support and release of solutions providing discreet functionality, driven by the global FX business.  The systems are used globally with major server hubs across the Globe.

The FX business is committed to raising its level through investment in the business and technology, and has recently authorised a new investment programme for the front office IT platform.  The strategy revolves around the iterative development of all areas of the FX platforms, from client distribution, price generation to algorithmic trading. Performance is a must and the connectivity needs always to be adapted.

Based in London and reporting to the head of FX Direct Market Access development team, this role involves working closely with the front office as part of a small team to develop and maintain all DMA connectivity within our infrastructure.

Skills / Qualifications:

The candidate must have the following skills and qualities:

·         A computer science/equivalent  degree from a top institute

·         A number of years’ experience working in a finance environment

·         Proactive and flexible approach to dealing with challenges

·         Highly motivated to work directly with traders

·         Strong communication skills

·         Strong analytical skills

·         Strong C++ development skills including experience with multi-threaded programming, performance optimization

The following experience would be desirable:

·         Experience of FX business

·         Experience of DMA

·         Experience of high-performance / low latency development (FPGA)

·         Proven ability to deliver front office systems

ITIL v3 Senior IT Service Management Consultant – IT Consultancy – London – Perm - £65k-£75k pa

The consultant must be a multi-skilled individual who will be able to demonstrate an ability to successfully work with clients of differing sectors and show a talent to modify their communication skills based on seniority within the client.

The consultant needs to be able to demonstrate a breadth of appreciation for industry standards of IT technology (to include Cloud services) and their implementation, the role of the Data Centre including trends for Data Centre services. Knowledge of industry trends in the management of IT services (outsourcing/insourcing) and the ability to walk through the standard structure of an IT department would be very beneficial for this role.

The consultant is expected to promote themselves and PTS Consulting in the industry as Subject Matter Experts in the field of IT Service Management.  The consultant will be required to present at industry conferences, workshops, seminars and author White Papers, trade articles and contribute to internet blogs.

The ideal candidate needs to be University (or equivalent) Degree Qualified in Informatics, Business Management or similar, and have attained the APMG ITIL V3 Expert certificate, and be able to demonstrate sound knowledge of complimentary frameworks such as MOF and CobiT.  A proven ability to implement ITIL best practice within financial services, legal or similarly demanding business areas would be advantageous.
