Principal Technical Consultant - PERMANENT - Up to £110k per annum

Our client, a worldwide professional services / major systems integrator with offices all over the world are currently seeking a Principal Lead Consultant to join their team in London working on a variety of prestigious clients in both the public and private sector.

The Role:

You will be expected to lead client consultancy engagements that create solutions and turns them in to a practical implementation plans delivering a clear return on investment. You will capture and build intellectual whilst maximising product and consultancy revenues by working with the appropriate sales, marketing and consultancy teams across the organisation and relevant vendors.

1.  Selecting and/or reviewing approaches and standards to suit client challenges and opportunities;
2.  Lead complex and critical consultative engagements with senior management;
3.  Assess core IT function capabilities & activities and improve alignment with strategic objectives;
4.  Recommend projects and initiatives for quick wins and longer term business improvement;
5.  Confidently technical scope complex or critical IT programmes as well as high level business cases;
6.  Compile total cost of ownership and return on investment models for leading business cases;
7.  Act as senior advisor on solution delivery, across architectural and governance teams;
8.  Ensure regular, clear and diligent communication across senior IT stakeholders;
9.  Act as a mentor to senior consultancy and architectural staff.

Requirements:

1.  Minimum of 10 years working as a subject matter expert across areas such as End User Computing / Data Centres and evolving infrastructure design into a large blue chip environment;
2.  Analysing overall technical solutions, scoping projects & recommending suitable solutions and approaches;
3.  Experienced Technical Leader on business critical technology projects across multiple IT functions;
4.  Integrating and aligning business requirements, functional requirements and technical solutions;
5.  Significant experience in business critical solutions;
6.  Recognised leadership in the application of consulting best practice;
7.  Proactive troubleshooting all solution aspects, including all stakeholders, environments & interfaces;
8.  Recognised leader in multiple industry best practice areas;
9.  Strong senior level relationships development experience, both internal & external;
10.  Experience in large-scale, high-profile business critical solutions;
11.  Professional capability across consultancy, service management and architectural best practices.

Although coming from a technology focused background, current and desired activities will be oriented on overall solution building to be functionally, operationally and commercially fit-for-purpose.  They will typically follow and develop best practice methodologies around business case development, solution design and governance.

Technical Test Analyst (Non functional) - Call Centre Systems – Livingston – Permanent - £45K

PTS’s client, one of the best known companies in the UK, is looking for a non functional test analyst to join their Customer Telephony Team to support the Genesys Production Telephony Platform. The team is currently made up of Functional Testers but they are looking to expand their capabilities to test the Genesys Telephony Platform under volume/load and its integration to other core systems such as CRM, Debt Processing System and Data Warehouse.
                                                 
Key responsibilities

·         Create or have an input into the creation of appropriate, tailored Non-Functional Test Approaches/Strategies
·         To plan, prepare, execute and report on non-functional testing according to agreed standards.
·         Stage manage the Test phase of one or more projects from initiation though to project sign-off
·         Ensure the creation, tracking and maintenance of test project plans for all projects undertaken by the team

Required

·         LoadRunner, HP Performance Centre and IXIA.
·         A strong academic background almost certainly underpinned by a degree qualification. 
·         Extensive hands-on experience of non-functional testing using a range of tools and protocols:
·         A clear understanding of operating systems and application software combined with advanced knowledge of operating systems, application software and relational databases.

·         Experience in telephony platforms, call centre or other telephony environment

PTS' client, a Leading Global Bank URGENTLY require an ITIL Process Business Analyst with strong Service Management experience, coupled with excellent working knowledge of the HP Service Centre and HP Service Manager Systems.
This exciting and challenging position requires considerable expertise in Customer and Client Liaison, with experience of working closely with SMEs, Developers, Managers, Third Parties and numerous Executives. Your broad ranging responsibilities will include Information and Requirements Capture, Workshops, Workflow Analysis, Business Process Reviews, Site Surveys, Interviews, Test Scenarios, Use Cases and Pure Business Analysis.

LEAD PACKAGER (Wise Studio) - 3 MONTH FIXED TERM CONTRACT (LONDON) – MAY EXTEND OR CONVERT TO PERMANENT - £35K pro rata

PTS client has a new requirement for a Lead Packager to work on one of our clients’ sites in Central London.

There will be an initial re-packaging exercise for 5 applications, to test / ratify / agree process and document same as required. You will also have the ability to lead a team of two less experienced packagers (who have minimal knowledge of Wise Products) to work on 200 applications (existing Wise packages) which will require re-packaging for Windows 7 / XenApp 2008 64bit, and should UAT of packages fail, remediation of the package.


Packaging Technologies Required:
- Wise Studio product to version 7.2 to 8.0. Knowledge / appreciation of Install Shield


Operating System Technologies Required
- Windows 7 / Windows 2008R2 XenApp 6 (64bit)

PTS' Exclusive Client have won a High-Profile Mobile Application Project and require three (3) experienced Ruby Developers to join their expanding team. The requirement is for two (2) Back End Developers and one Front End Developer, though if you have developed both, then all the better. They are looking for 3 strong Ruby Developers to start on 21st February if at all possible.
It is preferred that you also have strong PHP Development skills and have worked in the Mobile Application Development space, namely on iOS and Android projects.
