PTS MS has developed its outsourced IT solutions through a convergence
of our IT and Project Management skills and experiences. As a result of
our planned and continuing expansion programme, PTS MS is now seeking to employ
a Senior IT Systems Analyst with a rich background of IT experience to join its
rapidly growing division. This individual will combine technical
excellence with excellent customer facing skills and an analytical approach and
a commitment to attention to detail.
The ideal candidate should have a passion for technology combined with a sound
business-awareness, proven technical skills, and a willingness to engage in
both support and project work. This exciting and dynamic role will give
the individual opportunity to work on a variety of client engagements including
on-going operational support, new infrastructure and applications build-outs,
upgrades, migrations and enhancements, and tuning and refresh of existing
environments.
Key Responsibilities
·
Provide technical expertise and support services to clients, including
pre-sales support, design, project inception, implementation, testing and
business-as-usual operation
·
Engage in requirements capture, systems analysis, contribute to design
process, undertake systems integration tasks including server, networking and
voice system deployment and support
·
Work at PTS offices and clients site as required, typically based in the
City and West End
·
Take part in callout rota for overnight support and be available for
out-of-hours work when required
Key Skills and Experience
·
Experience of domain migrations, email migrations, technology
relocations and enterprise technology deployments and upgrades. Candidate
should have some hands on experience in a technical role in these types of
projects
·
Experience of providing end-user support including roles encompassing
1st 3rd level support
Strong skills in
·
Microsoft Window Server 2008, including Active Directory
·
Microsoft Exchange 2007 and 2010
·
VMware and virtualisation of both servers and workstations
·
Microsoft Windows XP and 7; Microsoft Office 2007 and 2012
·
Networking including TCP/IP, WAN/LAN and firewall technologies,
especially with Cisco, HP, Sonicwall and Juniper products
·
Common backup products and anti-virus products
Desirable technical skills include
·
NAS and SAN technologies
·
Blackberry Enterprise Servers
·
IP phone systems, especially Avaya, Cisco, Mitel
·
Working knowledge of cloud technologies and their benefits and
challenges
·
Experience of trading floor technologies including turret systems
·
Experience of supporting Bloomberg and other market data products
·
Common administrative tasks relating to SharePoint and SQL servers
Personal Qualities and Certifications
·
Top quality interpersonal and questioning and listening skills including
excellent spoken and written English
·
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical
people
·
Strong documentation skills
·
Attention to detail
·
Ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task
·
Microsoft, Cisco and/or VMware certifications are highly desirable
·
ITIL training or experience of working in an ITIL environment is a
definite plus
·
Japanese, Mandarin or Cantonese language skills will be a benefit but
NOT essential
