Project Manager – Investment Management – London - Contract

PTS’s client, a FTSE 250 listed company specialising in Investment Management is looking to employ a Project Manager for a 12 month contract. The successful candidate will lead the requirements identification, analysis, design, functional testing, UAT and implementation of a range projects for Front and Back Office Investment Management, Operations and IT Infrastructure; from inception through to live implementation.

Prospective candidates must be able to communicate at all levels and have a proven track record of managing and delivering multiple projects ranging in size and complexity to time and within budget. Experience of the Investment Management arena, ideally Private Client based would be highly desirable.

Knowledge of the Prince2 Project Management or a similar methodology would be advantageous. Excellent communication, facilitation and organisation skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities:
You will be a member of the IT Projects Team, based in London though may be required to travel to other offices.

Accountabilities will include acting as leader of projects for IT sponsored changes, or acting as IT workstream manager for business-led change initiatives. Identifying potential forthcoming business requirements by proactively consulting Business Managers and Section Heads via regular formal and informal meetings. Ensuring Project Sponsors follow IT change management procedures and via your manager alerting relevant IT Managers of a potential request for change. Preparing business cases to identify the objective of any IT change, the impact the change will have on existing infrastructure and users, the business benefits arising from the change, and an estimate of cost and timescale to deliver. Help desk calls – Taking help desk calls; logging and tracking calls and requests and providing initial assessment and advice.  The need for being technically aware is very important

Converged Technology Consultant – Unified Comms – Cisco – Dealer Voice - Permanent - London

Working in the Converged Technologies Team of this rapidly expanding Global Independent IT Consultancy, ideal applicants will currently be working in a technical consultancy or pre-sales consultancy and will have a successful track record in consultancy environments or working for Systems Integrators.

Converged Technologies consultants are responsible for providing professional services in the convergence field to our clients throughout the strategic, procurement and implementation stages of projects. This encompassing, but not limited to:
·       Understanding the business needs of the client
·       Defining the relevant technologies to meet the business needs
·       Formulating the business needs and technology requirements into a written strategy
·       Presenting and justifying the strategy to both technical and non-technical client teams and senior management
·       Running competitive procurement exercises
·       Developing specifications and writing ITTs and RFPs
·       Evaluating and analysing responses
·       Vendor management
·       Project managing the implementation of the chosen technologies and services

In addition to delivery responsibilities, Converged Technologies consultants are expected to:
·       Have strong interpersonal skills
·       Be able to command and empathise with client teams
·       Manage multiple simultaneous assignments and clients
·       As required, spend a significant amount of time on client sites in geographically dispersed locations
·       Be at the forefront of technology through a continuous program of self-development

Technical Skills:
Applicants must be able to demonstrate comprehensive knowledge in some/all of the following technology areas:

·       Contact Centre Systems

·       Network Services Interfaces, e.g. CAS, PRI, SIP
·       Data Networking
·       Local Area Network
·       Wide Area Network
·       Wireless Technologies – local and metro
·       Remote Access solutions
·       Security Infrastructure; network perimeter, core and edge.
