Service Continuity Analyst /Manager – Transport Infrastructure – London – CONTRACT - £300-£350/Day

PTS’s Client, a High Profile Transport Infrastructure Company URGENTLY require a Service Continuity Analyst /Manager.   Your role will be to establish, document and publicise the Continuity Management (CoM), Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and Risk Management (RIM) process strategies utilising KPIs to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of the processes and create a culture of Continual Service Improvement.

Act as a focal point for the CoM, BIA and RIM processes and issues you will influence all relevant stakeholders, Service Designs and continually develop and review roles and responsibilities.  You will also be accountable for establishing the process of creating CoM plans, managing risks and the activities that underpin and align within the Business.  The ability to create Recovery design criteria and to apply to new or enhanced infrastructure design and maintain a comprehensive IT testing schedule, including carrying out all Continuity test plans.

Also you will be contributing to the communications RACI matrix and to effectively communicate to and influence all stakeholders, but in particular Information Security, Service Design Management and Transition Management.  You must be able to manage suppliers in the completion of technical recovery documentation, and manage suppliers and internal technical teams in the running of Disaster Recovery testing.

You will be working with internal teams such as Service Introduction, Infrastructure Solution Architects, Business Analysts and Project Office to ensure that Service Continuity requirements are articulated correctly and also realised.  Aswell as monitoring change requests to ensure that Service Continuity is realised and taken into account for all changes.

IT Service Delivery Manager – ITIL - HONG KONG – Permanent

IT Service Delivery Manager urgently required by a Global IT Consultancy for a permanent position in their Hong Kong office. PTS Managed Services is a subsidiary of PTS Consulting, specialising in providing Enterprise grade IT solutions to SME financial and non-financial institutions such as Fund Managers, Private Equity Institutions, legal, accounting, insurance etc. through the provision of Project Management, IT Consulting, IT Systems Integration and post-project support. Key Responsibilities and Requirements:
-          Manage and lead a team of engineers providing 24/7 support to clients in Hong Kong and Shanghai.
-          Contribute to the on-going development of the service line at a global level and ensure consistent delivery of “PTS style” service.
-          Develop and maintain detailed and accurate IT inventories for every client, ensuring regular maintenance updates are provided.
-          Uptake and transitioning of new clients into the service management systems and ensuring staff are adequately trained and equipped to support client environments.
-          Attend regular service review meetings with clients and issue monthly service reports. 
-          Senior Engineering Manager with a proven background in the provision of IT implementation and support services, or IT Service Manager with strong experience in IT service delivery management, preferably within the financial services sector.
-          Strong communicator with proven experience managing end user and key stakeholder issues, ITIL training and experience a definite plus.
-          Top quality interpersonal and leadership skills expected including excellent spoken and written English; Cantonese and Mandarin skills are a plus.
-          A high level of understanding of common technologies and able to engage with technical staff around delivery of the following technologies and systems:

-          TCP/IP Networks configuration, WAN / LAN / Firewalls technology
-          Windows Servers, Active Directory, Exchange Administration
-          PABX / IP Telecommunications
-          Data Replication/Backup/Archiving
-          VPN / Remote Access technologies (e.g. Citrix)
-          NAS / SAN technologies
-          Wireless Technology
-          PDA / Blackberry technologies
-          Market Data Applications and Feeds
-          Technical qualifications in IT systems beneficial with some Microsoft, VMware and / or Cisco certifications desirable

Client Service Manager – Leading Investment Bank – CONTRACT – London – Market Rates

PTS’s Client, a leading Investment Bank is in URGENT need of a Client Service Manager to help deliver end user computing services to divested customers based on the desktop platforms. This will be focused on the delivery of services as described in the TSA to divested Business units including desktop services, service management, communication and BCP.

Responsibility is focused around the London office although any development of processes should be in a consistent manner across the whole of the client base.

Deliverables and Competencies:
  • Support in driving a robust service transition function within Global Desktop and End User Services.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, globally across TS. Exploit these relationships when managing programme change to ensure efficient delivery & economies of scale wherever possible.
  • Build on Lessons learnt and create a culture of repeatable process to ensure robust and reliable delivery.
  • Actively challenge areas of risk and concern, always with the protection of the KPI’s and benefits that GIS have signed up to at the forefront of the challenge.
  • Engage in regular reviews with key Business contacts for all areas within the CSM’s portfolio.
  • Provide a single point of contact for communication between Business areas & Project Teams delivering change into the customer environment.
  • Represent Business interests for phase/pilot planning undertaking a gatekeeper role for all customer communication.
  • Ensure post-implementation support is available and act as Business escalation point for change conflicts.
  • Continually work to expand Business interaction, and to measure/improve relationships with Business staff at all levels.
  • Become to critical technology interface for all Business staff within the CSM’s portfolio.
  • Become the subject matter expert for all infrastructure technology questions/issues/concerns.
  • Work closely with IDM’s to provide transparency and clarity around the services technology offer sharing knowledge with IDM function in order to provide a fully joined up view of the customer-technology relationship Act as a formal point of contact for any queries, questions, suggestions, concerns from the customer.
  • Manage all technology areas in order to ensure that issues/escalations/suggestions are progressed promptly and efficiently.  Become known as the “go to” point for all staff within the CSM’s Business portfolio.
  • Attend all incident calls affecting the CSM’s portfolio where severity is 1 or 2, add value to incident calls by providing accurate Business impact where possible, Communicate incident progress to key Business contacts. Ensure that PIR activities are relayed to key Business contacts.

You will support the PTS EMEA Head of Data Centres in the Development and Support of a growing Service Stream across the EMEA region. This role may require some International travel to support Sales and the delivery of assignments.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide the delivery of Consultancy Assignment to PTS Clients
- Delivery ownership, this can be as a delivery consultant or as a lead consultant 
- Leading a team of Consultants to deliver an Assignment on time and to budget
- Support Sales and Pre Sales activities to identify areas where PTS can assist clients

SKILLS
- Good understanding of IT technology (Servers, Storage, Networking)
- Good understanding of Industry trends ie Virtualisation, Energy Efficient Data Centres, CLOUD Services etc.
- A good understanding of Data Centre IT Infrastructure build principles ie Cabinet Cooling techniques (Cold Aisle etc.)
- Cabling systems (Copper/Fibre), Management Systems (BMS, EMS, KVM, ILO etc.)- Sound understanding of Data Centre physical builds (UPS, Generators, CRACs, Chillers etc.)
- Strong understanding of Operational Best Practices for the delivery of Data Centre Operations
- Sound Understanding of Industry Standards and Frameworks (TIA-942, Uptime Institute, ITIL, ISO-27001, ISO 14001 etc.)

You will need to demonstrate an ability to hold a working conversation with different levels of the client business in a language that they are comfortable with. You will also be able to identify areas that may be causing the client issues and present a solution to resolving the issue and identify and communicate the benefits of PTS providing services under a consultancy agreement.

EXPERIENCE
- 10 to 15 years experience of working in and delivering an IT/Data Centre Operations service for a Corporate or Service Provider organisation, or, the delivery of a similar role as a consultant
- Industry based training in a Service Management framework (ITIL/CoBit)
- Sound management experience of managing Teams in the delivery of IT Services
- Demonstrate how the consultant may manage complex projects (may have a Project Management qualification ie Prince2/PMP)
- Expertise across multiple industry sectors (Public and Private)
- Able to confidently present prospective solutions to clients
- Able to develop a Consultancy based report

We are now recruiting for three Data Centre/IT Service Migration Senior Project Managers. 

PTS are looking to recruit three Senior Technical IT Project Managers with experience in the Migration of Data Centre IT Services. 

The Senior Project Managers will need to demonstrate a sound methodology and experience of having performed this role before and a sound Project Management skill set to include the Management of: 
- the Project Steering Group 
- Stakeholder Meetings 
- Programme and Project Plans (using MS Project) 
- Risks and Issues Logs 
- Communications Plans 
- Project Budgets 
- IT Technical Support Teams 
- Vendors and Suppliers 
- Data Centre Service Providers 
- Reporting to include PIDs, Weekly and Monthly Status Reports, Project Plans, Lessons Learned Reports 

You will need to demonstrate: 
- an ability to structure the project and to communicate effectively, areas that need to be completed at an early stage of the project 
- the delivery of previous IT Infrastructure Projects to budget and on time 
- prior experience of successful delivery of an IT Infrastructure Procurement exercise and the role of the Project Manager 
- an ability to gain Project buy in of the IT Technical team at an early stage of the Project 

You will also need to identify additional opportunities to sell PTS services to support areas of the Project. 

This role could act as a Lead Project Manager of multiple Projects or as a Senior Project Manager of a single Data Centre/IT Migration Project. 

SKILLS 
The Project Manager will need to own the following skills: 
- Sound Project Management skills gained in the delivery of complex Data Centre Migration and IT Projects 
- Ability to manage and run Project Meetings that may include Presentations on Project Methodology and Project Status 
- Ability to manage conflicts within Projects 
- Ability to understand High Level IT Infrastructure designs 
- Ability to communicate at all Levels of the IT Management stack and at a language that is easily understood by the audience 
- Ability to run Budgets effectively and communicate to the Steering Group on its status 
- Strong Microsoft Project skills - ability to build and manage projects 
- Strong Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) 

EXPERIENCE 
- IT Project Manager minimum of 7 years 
- Project Management Qualification (ie Prince2) 
- Delivery of at least one Data Centre/IT Service Migration Project 
- Has sound understanding of IT Infrastructure components and how they Interconnect 
- Sound written, spoken and presentation skills in English 
- Has managed technical teams either directly or in Matrix model 
- Has managed Third Party service relationships for the delivery of IT Services
