Software Application Packager - Permanent - up to £25k, plus up to 10% bonus - Yorkshire
My client is looking for a software application packager to assist desktop transformation projects. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter capable of servicing requests from both our customers and internal sources in order to create automated software installation packages for use within managed IT environments.
Application packaging experience including MSI, AdminStudio and Application Virtualisation (App-V) is advantageous but not a necessity as training will be provided.
Duties
· Package and sequence applications for unattended installation and streaming
· Provide technical documentation on a range of technical issues as required.
· Produce procedural documentation of application packaging processes for the benefit of knowledge sharing and improved efficiency.
· Management of application packaging library and workflow tracking system
Skills
· Admin Studio - Desirable
· App-V Sequencing – Desirable
· Visual Basic Scripting – Desirable
· Windows Operating System knowledge - Desirable
· SCCM 2007 / 2012 - Desirable
· AppDNA – optional
NB – Some travelling may be required (Sheffield/Wetherby/Salford) so you MUST have your own car
