Operations Manager - Leading Global Cloud Services Company - Oxford, UK - Perm - £35k-£45k

PTS' client are a Global Leading Cloud Services Company who have a new role suited for an advanced team manager that is interested in managing a small team of system engineers.  You will help them to to execute a full and varied technical program including the provision, management and monitoring of our Public and Private Cloud offerings, from the Data centre hardware and networking stack through to the customer provisioning layer, as well as designing and implementing incremental developments to the service in this is fast moving area of IT.

This role is only really suitable for for candidates wanting to seize an opportunity to do something challenging in an innovative technology company with ambitious growth plans.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Management of the System Engineering team

·         Responsible for maintaining our agreed customer SLAs

·         Operational management of the Fabric

·         Running the NOC

·         Operational management of customer clouds

·         Development of new functionality and capability

Desired Skills Experience:
They are looking to recruit an Operations Manager that specialises within at least one the following skill sets, but preferred candidates will ideally have skills or qualifications across multiple skill sets, and have at least 4 years proven experience in a similar position.

Microsoft - Active Directory group policy, Windows server, Windows workstation, Hyper-V, System centre, SQL, CRM, DFS, and Clustering. Application installation and automation technologies
Citrix - Xenapp 4.5, Webinterface, ICA Client technology, Netscaler, Xenserver and XenDesktop
Exchange - Exchange 2010, Clustering, DAG's, Outlook 2010, Exchange backup technologies (software and hardware), virus and anti-spam best practise and PowerShell scripting
Networking - Cisco Networking Stack ie;  UCS, ASA ,ASR,L2 L3 networking
Storage -  NetApp San infrastructure, aggregates, luns, snapshots and replication
General Skills - Cloud technologies; public, private and multi tenancy clouds, Iaas, Saas and Cloud service provision. A team player, but with the ability to work independently with good written skills. Excellent verbal communication skill, showing an ability to communicate with a range of contacts from users to Director level and proven management experience within a technical team.
