PTS’s Client, a leading Investment Bank are in need of an excellent UNIX OS / LINUX ENGINEER to be able to provide UNIX PRODUCTION SUPPORT. You will need to be able to provide the required support for the UNIX Production Environment, such as delivery of new infrastructure, support and maintenance of existing infrastructure.
You will also be responsible for troubleshooting and performance tuning, documentation of existing processes and drive process improvements. You MUST have excellent VERITAS product knowledge, including CVS, CVM and VxVM and outstanding storage technology awareness (EMC and Hitachi). Also you need to have first-rate LINUX experience (preferably SuSE), superb SCRIPTING skills and a preferable understanding of EXADATA.
