Business / Data Analyst (IT and HiPortfolio/3) – 6 Month contract - Edinburgh OR London – £350 to £400 per day

PTS’ client is looking to bring in a Business / Data Analyst (HiPortfolio/3 ) for a 6 month contract that could extend beyond the initial period to provide technical guidance and support to the business as usual (BAU), development and change teams. The team is responsible for undertaking complex changes to the various HiPortfolio/3 suites of applications and associated tools.

You will lead and own the end-to-end functional and/or technical analysis, design, build and test activities that build, or maintain, software applications to meet the business requirements of Investment Accounting (IA).

Essential Experience

·         Substantial HiPortfolio/3 experience and a system expert in core HiPort modules, including IDX, RG writing, Cost sheet and GL support and configuration principles.

·         Thorough and detailed knowledge of specialist investment administration practices, investment instruments and their characteristics, investment accounting practice and regulatory and financial reporting principles.

·         Thorough understanding of general unit pricing principles and practices.

·         Comprehensive understanding of all the constituent parts of unit pricing and where these sit in the end to end IA business model.

Must also have

·         Ability to solve complex problems and issues (both technical investment and systems) in a methodical manner.

·         Significant previous exposure to complex technical environments.

·         Full understanding of project development methodologies, governance and standards.

·         Excellent communication, presentation and report writing skills.

·         Ability to influence at the highest level with significant operational and/or support experience.

·         Good negotiation and expectation management skills.

·         Ability to act ahead of time rather than reacting to programme change and pressure.

·         Ability to build effective working relationships across the business. Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
