URGENT – Interviewing NOW - Senior Test Analyst – Edinburgh – Permanent – upto £38K + Excellent Benefits

PTS’ client is currently looking to recruit a Senior Test Analyst to join their team and carry out functional testing on a diverse suite of software applications. This role will be based in Livingston however some travel to other locations throughout the UK may be required. Whilst not directly managing other testers you will have excellent mentoring skills and experience as well as ability to co-ordinate the workload of you and your colleagues.

Essential

·         A proven track record in the delivery of complex projects.

·         Demonstrable experience mentoring / developing team members on processes, methods and tools

·         Experience in the use of Quality Center for manual tests. Also QTP.

·         Experience using SQL, both writing and executing queries.

Main duties include

·         Stage Management for the Test phase of one or more projects

·         Ownership for the production of test estimates based on various inputs to prepare and execute the test phase.

·         Provision of the Test Approach/Strategy documents to drive the test phase.

·         Prioritisation of workload for Team Members

·         Ensures all quality checks and deliverable reviews are undertaken

·         Identification of Test Environment and Test Data requirements

·         Creation and execution of tests in accordance with the Test Approach include maintaining regression test packs.

·         Represents the Test community across the project delivery lifecycle providing positive contribution in all aspects of the role

·         Communicating progress against plan for any work packages.
