Environment Specialist – Transport Infrastructure – London – PERMANENT – between £28K-£38K pa

PTS's Client, a High Profile Transport Infrastructure Company is in need of an experienced ENVIRONMENT SPECIALIST. The role is to work within the Crossrail Consents and Environment Team, to support both programmes wide and project specific activities.  Within these activities you will be providing input in respect of planning projects such as archaeology, ecology and heritage matters arising from different problems.

You will be supporting processes for environmental design requirements and to monitor environmental performance of projects.  Also you will be creating and monitoring the implementation of plans, strategies, standards, procedures and systems regulations and statutory legislation, in line with corporate requirements.  The development of the programmes EMS to support the environmental documentation and improvement is crucial to this role.

The ideal candidate must be educated at degree level and be a member of a relevant professional institution (IMEA).  Excellent communication and report writing skills are essential to this role, along with a knowledge and appreciation of environmental and project management disciplines to a high standard.
