*URGENT 12m CONTRACT* - BUSINESS / DATA ANALYST - ASSET MANAGEMENT – EDINBURGH AREA - £130-£160/day DoE

PTS Resourcings’ client, a leading global financial services company urgently require an experienced BUSINESS/DATA ANALYST for a minimum 12 month contract. Working as a SOFTWARE ASSET MANAGEMENT ANALYST in their Information Technology Asset Management department you will be involved in the management of SOFTWARE ACQUISITION, COMPLIANCE, MAINTENANCE RENEWALS, LIFE-CYCLE PLANNING AND COSTING.

You are a self-motivated, flexible, commercially aware individual with excellent interpersonal skills, high customer satisfaction focus and can work with minimal supervision.

Key Tasks:

·         Handling ordering and acquisitions for the division.

·         Coordinating enhancements to the asset management database to improve current processes and supporting all compliance and contract activities.

·         Processing end user requests for software, hardware and maintenance needs.

·         Following established process for ordering/tracking/receiving acquisitions for the division.

·         Maintaining current financial and physical status on asset management database.

·         Supporting all compliance and contract activities.

·         Producing monthly, quarterly and ad hoc asset reports for senior management.

Skills Required:

·         Configuration level/support knowledge of MSSQL databases and working knowledge of SQL querying / scripting

·         Good working knowledge of IT Asset Management and Discovery Tools (Computer Associates: Unicenter Asset Portfolio Management application (ARGIS), Microsoft: SMS/SCCM, IBM: Tivoli License Manager)

·         Conceptual awareness of systems, asset and service management issues and related technologies

·         Good written and verbal communication skills

·         Proven researching and problem solving ability

·         Experience interpreting licensing terms and condition
