My client, a prestigious financial blue-chip based in Central London, is urgently seeking an experienced Trade Floor Desktop Support Manager for a vital 3 month contract to start ASAP.
The business is currently lacking a Full time Desktop Support Manager, and requires an IT support professional with significant Financial and Banking experience to manage the existing support team. Due to the nature of the business, the ideal candidate should also have solid knowledge and experience of Market Data applications but especially Bloomberg, where there is a significant skills shortage. The ideal candidate should possess a clear understanding of Bloomberg from a technical / back-end perspective to enable changes to the system where needed.
To be successful in your application you should possess the following key skills/experience:
1. A minimum of 5 years experience of IT systems and support management within financial/banking environments;
2. Excellent Market Data knowledge – especially Bloomberg and Reuters;
3. A proven and demonstrable management track record;
4. Outstanding communication skills;
5. Previous experience of change management;
6. An ability to work within a fast-paced and dynamic environment;
7. Excellent teamwork ethic;
8. Experience of maintaining existing SLAs and resolving/escalating issues in a timely fashion.
