Junior Project Manager – Investment Bank – London – Contract - £300-£350/Day

PTS's Client, a High Profile Investment Bank require a JUNIOR PROJECT MANAGER with a technical background preferably in the end user access area with a good understanding of infrastructure impact on end users.  Previous experience in migrations, upgrades, etc for end users would be a very good start.  You will of course be guided by the Project Manager for assisting in the delivery of the ET (extended testing) environment.

The methodology to be used by the programme is hybrid - part build ahead and part lift & shift, so knowledge of this is beneficial.  As the programme is hybrid and the end user community is different to production, you will need to be able to offer different low cost and low risk approaches.

Your deliverables are:

·         Update the GTS end users’ desktop components requiring a technical configuration change.   Work with both Optimised and Non-Optimised countries BAU personnel on their specific requirements to deliver the updates either pre, during or post Cutover to minimise activities required on cutover weekend.  Provide rollbacks for No Go and uninstall of existing components and develop solutions for dress rehearsals for dual access by business users.

·         Review of Shared Services HLDs to drive out any end user access requirements or risks, including determining any EUA migration activities for cross environment shared services where shared services continue to be consumed from NL until last environment is cutover. Provide migration approach for all environment users for last cutover.

·         Provide solution and provision secure access to Target environments for resources and business users involved in build, migration and each testing phase including providing test tool and device access to/within the isolated environment.

·         Develop processes, provision and manage access to Target infrastructure (Unix Secure Gateway, iSeries, Wintel and Shared Services) for the purpose of migration and testing before and after BAU control ahead of cutover.

·         Provision application level access to GTS application set for the purpose of testing.  Setup a team segregated from testing teams for provisioning and managing access in line with requirements from Risk & Security for approval and control around access to applications with production data.

·         Develop After Care model for EUA.
