Server Administrator - Communications - Hertford - Permanent - Between £25k to £35k

PTS’s Client, a leading Communications Company are in URGENT need of a SERVER ADMINISTRATOR with a full working knowledge of WINDOWS 2008/2003 SERVER Platforms.  A MINIMUM of 2 years’ experience in a similar role is essential, whilst working with bespoke solutions and COTS applications is required.

You must have working knowledge of LINUX SERVER OPERTATING SYSTEMS (inc Redhat), along with EXCHANGE 2007 administration.  Knowledge of networking with TCP/IP, VLAN, VPN and Switch Configuration is essential.  You will need to have Good MS Office Skills, Basic Firewall and an understanding of Telecoms.

You will need the ability to grasp and apply complex new technologies very quickly, have a good technical understanding, whilst being flexible.  A strong work ethic with the ability to work independently, whilst being determined, confident, flexible and proactive is a necessity.
