Project Manager – Investment Management – London - Contract
PTS’s client, a FTSE 250 listed company specialising in Investment Management is looking to employ a Project Manager for a 12 month contract. The successful candidate will lead the requirements identification, analysis, design, functional testing, UAT and implementation of a range projects for Front and Back Office Investment Management, Operations and IT Infrastructure; from inception through to live implementation.
Prospective candidates must be able to communicate at all levels and have a proven track record of managing and delivering multiple projects ranging in size and complexity to time and within budget. Experience of the Investment Management arena, ideally Private Client based would be highly desirable.
Knowledge of the Prince2 Project Management or a similar methodology would be advantageous. Excellent communication, facilitation and organisation skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
You will be a member of the IT Projects Team, based in London though may be required to travel to other offices.
Accountabilities will include acting as leader of projects for IT sponsored changes, or acting as IT workstream manager for business-led change initiatives. Identifying potential forthcoming business requirements by proactively consulting Business Managers and Section Heads via regular formal and informal meetings. Ensuring Project Sponsors follow IT change management procedures and via your manager alerting relevant IT Managers of a potential request for change. Preparing business cases to identify the objective of any IT change, the impact the change will have on existing infrastructure and users, the business benefits arising from the change, and an estimate of cost and timescale to deliver. Ensuring milestones are agreed and documented at inception of a project and every effort is made to meet the agreed timescales. Testing solutions in conjunction with other IT teams and business users to ensure the agreed deliverables are met and the solution is stable enough to be promoted to ‘live’ use.

A Business Support Assistant is required by an Education Consultancy which is part of PTS Consulting Group PLC, one of the world’s leading IT Consultancies.
