ITIL v3 Senior IT Service Management Consultant – IT Consultancy – London – Perm - £65k-£75k pa

The role of a Senior IT Service Management Consultant covers a wide variety of business and service sectors. The key skill for a consultant is the ability to work collaboratively with clients of all types who are seeking advice and assistance in the solutions to business and technical challenges. The consultant must be a multi-skilled individual who will be able to demonstrate an ability to successfully work with clients of differing sectors and show a talent to modify their communication skills based on seniority within the client.

The consultant needs to be able to demonstrate a breadth of appreciation for industry standards of IT technology (to include Cloud services) and their implementation, the role of the Data Centre including trends for Data Centre services. Knowledge of industry trends in the management of IT services (outsourcing/insourcing) and the ability to walk through the standard structure of an IT department would be very beneficial for this role.

The consultant is expected to promote themselves and PTS Consulting in the industry as Subject Matter Experts in the field of IT Service Management.  The consultant will be required to present at industry conferences, workshops, seminars and author White Papers, trade articles and contribute to internet blogs.

The ideal candidate needs to be University (or equivalent) Degree Qualified in Informatics, Business Management or similar, and have attained the APMG ITIL V3 Expert certificate, and be able to demonstrate sound knowledge of complimentary frameworks such as MOF and CobiT.  A proven ability to implement ITIL best practice within financial services, legal or similarly demanding business areas would be advantageous.
