Technical Support Manager Glasgow/Edinburgh Perm upto £40K
PTS client is looking for an OUTSTANDING technical candidate who is keen for big projects and who has the passion and drive to succeed. You will be a self-starter who is not put off with challenge and change and can fit into the can-do-attitude of my client.
You will:
Provide technical ownership, management, administration and support of the core business
infrastructure (based on Win2K3/Win2K8) and associated client and server based systems
Provide deep level technical expertise across the Microsoft platform
Provide a technical focus and expertise across the networking estate (Cisco) and associated telephony platforms (Mitel)
Manage the support and delivery of desktop services
Essential Skills:
Dell/IBM/HP Server hardware maintenance
Deep level Windows 2003/2008 experience including Active Directory DFS
Strong experience in WAN/LAN technologies
Strong experience in Telephony technologies
Good working knowledge of VMware ESX or equivalent virtualisation platform
Strong Microsoft Messaging and Database product knowledge
Symantec end-point protection suite
Backup Exec 9.1
Citrix/RDP installation, administration and troubleshooting
