Java Developer - Investment Bank - London – CONTRACT – £500-£550/Day

PTS’s Client, a leading Investment Bank are in URGENT need of an experienced JAVA DEVELOPER with strong MULTI-THREADED PROGRAMMING skills.   You MUST have the ability to CONCEIVE and DESIGN complex systems and be familiar with HIGH FREQUENCY and LOW LATENCY programming environments.  You will also need to have a strong SCIENTIFIC background (Masters of Science or equivalent).

You must have knowledge of ION MARKETVIEW along with experience in SETTING UP and ENFORCING team wide continual integration in a professional context.  Knowledge of SWAPS, BONDS, REPOS and FUTURES markets, aswell as a familiarity with TRADEWEB, BONDVISION, BLOOMBERG, HDAT, MTS, SENAF, BROKERTEC and E-SPEED is needed.

You must have previous experience working in electronic trading and ideally have had exposure to MARKET PLATFORMS, INTEREST RATE products and their trading processes.  You will need to work under pressure in a challenging environment, with high levels of commitment and motivation, as well as a desire to work closely with Business, IT and Research teams.
