ASP.NET, C# .NET Senior Web Developer urgently required. An Award-Winning Digital Design Company is looking for a special breed of Web Developer to add to their successful team as demand for their expertise increases. The ideal person will be a creative and passionate Web Developer, able to boast their own portfolio of projects, and their own website.
You will need to have strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. A clear and concise articulator of ideas, you’ll be persuasive and credible in front of clients, or prospective clients, at all levels. Although the company work in a team culture, you need to be comfortable managing your own time and workload autonomously. What is critical is that you have a real passion for the web and can bring focus and enthusiasm to the role.
You will be / have:
· A strong Web Developer, with good written and verbal communications.
· A solid understanding of how to apply pragmatic software engineering practices to the production of high quality and robust web sites.
· Capable of taking account of new information or changed circumstances in a fast moving project environment, and acting accordingly.
· Expected to provide assistance and guidance to colleagues in any aspect of software documentation, design, build, testing and support.
Responsibilities include:
· Customer requirements gathering and system analysis
· Identifying and researching candidate solutions, particularly CMS, for client requirements, and communicating clearly with the team and clients regarding the proposed solution.
· Scoping, estimating, design, build, test and implementation and maintenance of .NET-based websites and applications.
Essential skills which are critical to the role:
· Over 3 years hands on development experience with front end C# .NET projects
· C# ASP .NET versions 2.0, 3.5
· XML / XSLT
· HTML / CSS / JavaScript
· Microsoft SQL Server
· Version Control
· Website management and configuration with IIS
· Continuous Integration and similar development practices
Desirable skills and experience:
· Background in CMS development
· Experience with Ektron CMS 400
· Experience of working with the Financial sector
· C# ASP .NET version 4.0, MVC & LINQ
· JavaScript framework (e.g. JQuery)
· Version Control (SVN / VSS)
· Experience of Agile & Lean (Kanban) software development processes
