Solutions Architect (Applications) – Manchester – 6 month contract - £ excellent daily rate
My client is after a strong applications architect (not infrastructure) to produce solution designs and work with their other architects. You will have an excellent knowledge of IT infrastructure, higher education systems and applications.
You will be responsible for the design of in-house technical infrastructure, data, applications, services and vendor product integration, working closely with operations and developers to translate my client’s business needs into system, scope, solution and architecture definition - ensuring compliance with architecture standards and strategy. You will be responsible for the delivery of application services within a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and be skilled in:
Essential - J2EE, Oracle, SQL Server and MySQL
- Minimum 3 years experience in IT architecture/system/application design
Extensive hands-on design and implementation experience in the following - Application development
- Servers, storage and backup/recovery
- Database management
- Operations
