My client, a University in London, is urgently seeking an interim Head of IT for an initial 6 month contract to ensure completion of a number of outstanding projects.
The successful applicant will have significant experience as a Head of IT within a University / Education / Public Sector environment, and be familiar with the challenges of time critical projects with key deliverables. They must demonstrate an ability to maintain the day-to-day running of the organisation in addition to completing all necessary infrastructure projects on budget and schedule.
Current projects include telephony replacement, Active Directory, Windows 7, Exchange 2010, Sharepoint, ITIL and ICT scoping.
Key skills / experience are as follows:
1. Significant experience within Head of IT roles for University / Education / Public Sector environments;
2. Proven ability to manage a large and established team;
3. Able to assess key skills and competencies of staff;
4. Excellent communication and networking skills;
5. Stakeholder engagement experience;
6. Dynamic and assured leadership skills.
