Information Management Release Analyst – Transport Infrastructure – CONTRACT – London – £270-£300/Day

PTS’s Client, a High Profile Transport Infrastructure Company requires an INFORMATION MANAGEMENT RELEASE ANALYST.  Using IBM RATIONAL SYNERGY you will be managing and overseeing ALL technical aspects of the END TO END release.  You will also oversee the rollout of ALL software procedures for the CONTROL, DISTRIBUTION, DEPLOYMENT and INSTALLATION of ALL changes within the release.

You must have a minimum of 2 years detailed knowledge of working with IBM Rational Synergy and Change, aswell as being ITIL qualified to foundation certificate level.  An understanding of APPLICATION COMPONENTS and how applications are built is crucial; along with good knowledge of account administrations within a UNIX administration backgrounds is required and an ability to write SHELL SCRIPTS.

Experience of liaising with 3rd Party units and an interest in the system and changes is vital.  You will need to have the ability to analyse Risk and Impact Assessments, and have knowledge of all stages of the IT delivery lifecycle from feasibility through to support.  You have to be proficient in Microsoft desktop operating systems (Office, Outlook, Excel and Word).

PTS’ client, a world leading online technology group are looking to attract an experienced Infrastructure Team  Leader who will lead a team of IT engineers  who  will be responsible for the installation, support, maintenance and ongoing development of the organisations internal infrastructure, Managed Hosted Clients’ Infrastructures and Data Centres  They will be responsible for delivering the agreed SLA’s and  for maintaining high technical standards through ensuring that the team consistently provide customers with a professional and positive approach.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Management
·         Providing leadership to the Infrastructure Team to ensure that the quality of its service delivery meets or exceeds the defined service levels for our services.
  • Responsible for mentoring, coaching, appraising and development of the team members, including assigning individual KPIs.
  • Ensuring that the Infrastructure Team exhibits a customer focused culture at all times, irrespective of whether the customer is internal or external.
Technical Quality
  • Working with the Solutions Delivery Team Leader, responsible for advising on the design standards required to maintain the specified SLA and through-life-cost, and for testing against those standards when accepting an infrastructure into service. 
  • Ensuring that all work executed by the Infrastructure Team is planned, documented, and subject to rigorous quality control.
  • Ensuring that the Infrastructure Team has a set of procedures in place to deal with Incidents.
  • Ensuring that the Infrastructure Team has systems in place to monitor the health of all our networks.

Essential Skills/Experience required:
·         Knowledge of network topologies and system design for high availability networks.
·         Installation, configuration, maintenance and ongoing support in a data centre environment of :MS Windows Servers, Linux (Redhat) Servers, Solaris Servers, Web servers (IIS and Apache), Oracle/SQL databases
  • Network hardware including switches, firewalls, routers and load balancers
  • Broad awareness of Emerging Technologies
  • Degree qualified in relevant discipline
  • ITIL certification at V2 or V3 is desirable

PROGRAMME MANAGER – TRANSPORT INFRASTRUCTURE – LONDON – CONTRACT - £750-£800/DAY

PTS’s Client, a High Profile Transport Infrastructure Company requires a PROGRAMME MANAGER to work within the Buildings and Civils Asset Management department.  You will be required to take forward a function-wide change programme and to manage a team to co-ordinate numerous projects across the programme.  This is a £multi-million change programme and is of extremely high profile.

You MUST have excellent STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT and GOVERANCE skills as you will be reporting directly into the Director and with a range of senior stakeholders.  The need to act as a PROJECT SPONSER will be required aswell as liaising with Transport Regulators as a main point of contact.  You must be able to DRIVE engagements with change programmes and to be able to deliver presentations to act as an AMBASSADOR for the programme.

Experience in the successful management of major and complex change programmes is IMPERATIVE.  Aswell as the expertise in applying programme / project METHODOLOGIES with the need for COMMERCIAL and FINANCIAL awareness.  Ideally you need to be educated to a degree level and be a member of a project association.  The need for knowledge or experience working within the UK Rail Industry and Asset Management is also needed.
